چکیده
Abstract In Pagondas and Kimi areas, central Evia Island, Greece, variably serpentinized ultramafic rocks of an ophiolitic origin are crosscut by rodingite dikes. Based on their protoliths, these rodingites distinguished into the following: (i) island arc tholeiitic dolerites, (ii) Mg-rich gabbros, (iii) alkaline basalts, (iv) calc-alkaline basalts. Rodingitization evolved in three successive phases (namely, stages 1, 2, 3) increasing metasomatic degree that occurred during exhumation mantle wedge serpentinites. Thermodynamic modeling suggests stage 1 was developed at ~5 kbar 450-550°C, whereas 2 3, gradually decreasing P-T conditions prevailed. Stage affected protoliths all types characterized crystallization grossular, diopside, chlorite, prehnite leading to Ca LOI enrichments. The observed Si REE depletions assigned dissolution primary clinopyroxene amphibole. mainly were derived from promoting growth andradite, vesuvianite, chlorite expense rodingitization mineral phases. At this stage, marginal zones dikes basalts experienced remarkable Mg 3 corresponds derodingitization restricted carbonation processes previously formed rodingites, which associated with Fe During significant trace elements including REEs transferred inner cores metasomatism Calcite δ18Ο-δ13C isotopic data suggest shallow depths below Tethyan ocean floor, through mixing seawater serpentinization-derived fluids. Such multiple four different lithotypes, as well unusual case basalts’ rodingitization, would render important very rare example metasomatism.

Sintered material from alkaline basaltic tuffs
he possibility to obtain sintered material from alkaline basaltic tuffs is demonstrated. The parent rock was milled for 10–15 min, the resulting owder was pressed at 100 MPa and the obtained samples were heat-treated in the range of 1000–1140 ◦C. The sintering behaviour and the phase ormation were studied by pycnometry, dilatometry, DTA, XRD and SEM. The final material was obtained by sintering...
متن کاملSignificance of hornblende in calc-alkaline andesites and basalts
Hornblende occurs in some andesitic and basaltic rocks of calc-alkaline affini1y, where it is commonly associated with olivine. The texture, eruption history, and composition are interpreted to indicate that hornblende commonly forms as a product of reaction between olivine and basaltic and andesitic liquids. The natural hornblendes probably formed within the crust at temperatures between 960o ...

the noorabad-kermanshah ophiolite is part of eastern mediterranean-zagros-oman tethyan ophiolites, that this area is located in south-southwest of the main zagros thrust fault. this ophiolite consists of peridotites, serpentinites and pegmatite gabbros as mantle sequence whereas crustal sequences are composed of locally layered gabbros, isotropic gabbros, sheeted dike complex, basaltic to andes...
